Ways to Give

Money gifts are the most useful

Shipping items to Africa is costly. What the African grandmothers and orphans need most can almost always be purchased locally at a cost dramatically less than in America. So money gifts are the most useful, immediate and effective way to provide seeds, fertilizer, educational resources and other assistance to the gogos and orphans.

Company matching Gift donations

Your employer's charitable gift matching program can double the amount of your donation. Please ask us for the documents you need to submit to qualify SAFE Africa, Inc. as an approved non-profit organization.

Gifts of stocks and property

SAFE Africa, Inc. and Gogo Grandmothers can receive donations of vehicles, real estate, financial stocks and bonds, and other items.  Please contact us for guidance.

Donations are tax deductible

As a ministry of SAFE-Africa, Inc. (Sub-Saharan Africa Family Enrichment), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization approved by the IRS, your contributions are tax deductible. For tax reporting purposes, an official summary receipt of your contributions is provided to you at the close of each calendar year. Of course, donations to Gogo Grandmothers, channeled through your church or other charitable organization, are afforded tax deductible status by that organization.

Minimum administrative costs

In the U.S., Gogo Grandmothers is led by volunteers. Money is not spent on offices and other "overhead" items, so that at least 90 percent or more of funds raised can be forwarded to the Gogo Grandmothers staff in Malawi Africa, for use in the work there.

Financial policies

Policies governing fund-raising and the distribution of Gogo Grandmothers resources are set by the organization's Board of Directors. They closely follow guidelines established by the ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). Click here for details about SAFE / Gogo Grandmothers financial policies and practices.
