Your gift helps a gogo make Mbeya Compost Fertilizer so that her garden produces enough maize to help feed her family for all of next year. She collects ash, maize bran, and manure, and your support provides the training, supplies, and the commercial fertilizer that is unaffordable for her but necessary to mix in the compost.
Malawi is facing a fertilizer shortage due to the war in Ukraine. This alternative compost fertilizer is slowly improving their gardens. The Mbeya fertilizer-making project has become good news for the poor and hungry in Malawi, where millions have been forced into food insecurity.
